A native of North Carolina, and son of a Real Estate Broker in Greensboro, Tom recalls as a teenager prepping and maintaining his father’s active listings; mowing the grass, washing the windows, his father reminding him to shine the heel as well as the toe, but what most impacted Tom were the relationships he saw develop between his father and his father’s clients. That, a good sense of humor, and a frank honesty, which Tom says is the biggest time-saver in his toolbox, are the traits that he is most grateful to have carried into and throughout his 30 year real estate career in Washington.
In Tom’s view, all of the awards and top Realtor rankings pale as rewards in comparison to so many people allowing him to be a part of such a personal transition in their lives.
Tom believes that for both Sellers and Buyers, it’s about much more than bedrooms, bathrooms, even money. Some say getting to the bottom of what it’s about is one of Tom’s gifts. Whichever type of client, Tom’s goal is to teach, promote and protect. Quite frankly, that’s why he and his team sell so much real estate.

A native of Colombia, Carolina Lopez brings an international perspective, strong business background, and deep community roots to the Faison DC team. Fluent in both English and Spanish, she has spent 20+ years building relationships in Capitol Hill and Washington, DC, through her work in local media and community involvement.
Carolina studied Finance and International Relations before earning a Master’s degree in Public Policy. She continues to serve in a leadership role with Capital Community News, publisher of the Hill Rag and other local publications, giving her deep knowledge of local neighborhoods, businesses, and community life.
Known for her warmth, honesty, and attention to detail, Carolina believes real estate is more than buying or selling a home — it’s about helping people navigate important life transitions with confidence and support. She loves helping clients feel connected to their home and to the community around them.
As a board member of the Capitol Hill Community Foundation, Carolina’s service is key. She values relationships that last long after the closing table.
Outside of real estate, Carolina enjoys hot yoga, cooking, traveling, and exploring Washington’s vibrant restaurant scene. She loves spending time with family and friends, supporting local businesses, and staying connected to the DC community she proudly calls home.
